Painting Cabinets to Coordinate with 'Jalepeno Green' Counter Tops

I have a dated kitchen with 70's 'jalepeno green' counter tops and dark brown laminate cabinets. The counter tops are in great shape, so I am wanting to paint the cabinets. Any ideas on what colors would look good?

First you should prime your cabinets. I had dark cabinets in my kitchen and I wanted to lighten them. Looks good too. I think that since your counters are green, you should go white and maybe get some stencil paint and ivy stencils, add a few stencils in ivy print around the corners of the cabinet doors. You could get a canister set also with ivy and add a green rug in front of your sink. You'll be all coordinated. Have fun!!

Peach, ivory, or a lighter shade of the "jalepeno green" depending on your wall color.

I would go with a lighter color, depending on the floor color. Maybe ivory or a buttery yellow. Then you could accessorize with blues and turquoises.. It's my feeling that since God but green leaves on His plants and green grass all around them you can use anything with green. Just don't get garish.
