If the help you are needing is with decorations then you could always use the gold coins that are chocolate on the inside that we had when we were little.

Use a noah ark theme check in the wedding and party section at you stores for a table arch and put it over the table use fabric or tulle to make a rainbow then use a cookie jar shaped like noahs ark put flowers in it set the table with soft colors and have place mats for each guest at your table with napkin rings made out of coverd wire and hot glue small animals to them find these in the toy department also use napkins from fabric they have some in the fabric area at wal-mart use soft colors for dishes each setting different color decorate with candles and candy dishes with mints have fun and get creative !

use NOAHS ARK THEME set your table with dishes of animals and use a colorful dish patterns such as pink yellow and blue be creative! place animal candles and a cookie jar in the Ark theme and fill with flowers. take a wedding arch that goes over the table and make a rainbow out of fabrics Hobby Lobby is in every state look for ideas there then place a scripture at each setting with clipart and their names on them .

Colors of the rainbow have meanings. Check Google for the meanings. This will help you in deciding on a theme. The rest is easy. The table, food, decorations, and even your clothing should be your color. Let the creative juices flow. It's a lot of fun. The first time I participated Iwas the captain. I work in a nursing home. We have a rainbow tea each year. All departments have a table. Everything on the table has to be that color or be the main color. This includes food.The residents then vote for the table they like best.

There's a bunch of information on gold in the bible. It tells you where gold is used or talked about in the bible.
You could decorate your table with gold candy like werther's original caramels, chocolate money wrapped in gold foil, the small reese's peanut butter cups and chocolate turtles with gold wrappers.
You could have the wiseman that brought Jesus gold on your table.
You could have gold bracelets, crowns and rings for the people sitting @ your table.
Maybe have some gold candles for decoration.
You could make "The Golden Rule" rulers out of construction paper for your table.

White Table

My church is having a Rainbow Tea and I have the white table. I need ideas for decorating the white table. Three years ago, I did clouds with angels on top, angel food cake with white icing and boiled eggs, white grape juice with ginger ale. This year, I need some more ideas.

Blue Table

Request:

My church is having a rainbow tea party, to be held in a few weeks. This is my first time, and I have been chosen as one of the leaders. I have a team of women chosen to work with me. My color is blue. Not my favorite color, but I must work with it.

Can you please help me? As Vanessa from Goldsboro asked, can you help me with ideas for decorating the table, and biblical meanings related to the color blue, as well as, appropriate foods (for my table) for this great occasion? I know I've asked al ot of you.

Hi. I have no idea what a rainbow tea is, but I'm assuming it means that the tables are decorated in different color themes. If your table is blue, I'd suggest using scriptures dealing with water and the sky. I'm thinking specifically about Genesis and the creation stories. Or what about Jesus quelling the wind and the waves? You could use stars, moons, whales, fish, boats, etc. Maybe your theme could be "get out of the boat!" and you could hold Peter up as an example of one who at least 'got out of the boat!' Good luck!

For Blue decorations with a biblical theme... the first thing I thought of is water. There are lots of references to water in the bible. Your decorations could be various sizes and shapes of glass containers with blue glass rocks in the bottom (in the craft dept.) and water and a little blue water coloring and if allowed floating candles.

The other thing that blue makes me think of is sky. I know walmart has some fabric that looks like blue sky with clouds. again, I think you could find some biblical references related to sky (check out www.biblegateway.com click keyword search and enter sky and see what you get).

What do you mean-rainbow table (indigo)? is the tablecloth indigo and you want rainbow decorations.? You can mix and match solid paper goods-pink plates, blue napkins, purple cups, etc. Smart and final has a good variety of solid colors. Get some inexpensive rainbow striped fabric and make a table runner-no sew-just iron the edges under. Check out party supply store for some good fun rainbow accessories.

I think she means that she's responsible for the color indigo. Please explain what a "Rainbow Tea" is. It sounds obvious, but many of us don't know.

Hope i can be of some help! Your indigo is a reddish blue color. Now since there aren't many blends with just those two tones. If i were you this is how i would coordinate these combinations.

If you use a red use a reddish burgundy and navy blue. And make or have someone to create you a beautiful flowered centerpiece with those colors make sure they add some baby breaths and put a long stem candle between the vase on the table then place two or one candy dishes on the table depending on the length of your table. adding cinnamon (hard) candy and mint blue if you can't find dark blue candy). Be sure to use candy that's individual wrapped.

Incidentally we're getting prepared to do a rainbow tea at our church. My color this year is orange and i'm having a ball shopping for various items. I have my guest helping me but their confident i don't need any. I remind them that God isn't selfish even though I know how i want it. "GET THE POINT".

At my table there will be approximately 25 to 30. I've participated in the rainbow tea for about 3 years now. The first two times I won 2nd place and the third time 1st place. And now this 4th time there will be no contest. But that's ok, I'm still looking forward to it and besides i'm the guest speaker, my plate is already full. God bless and good luck!

It is my understanding that a Rainbow Tea is a function held to raise funds. Ten captains are chosen, they secure folk to sit at their table. Each captain chooses a color and decorates his or her table in this color. Each captains' guest donates a certain amount of money. There may be a keynote speaker and after hearing the speaker, the guest enjoy a light meal with the beverage being Tea.
