I got ink out of my leather with a magic eraser (mr. clean). No such luck with the vinyl boat seat but maybe you should try that.

Haley drew on my white vinyl purse with blue sharpie. I have tried hairspray, acetone, butter, oven cleaner. googone, and nothing works. I am about to try yogurt, but I don't have any faith. Any suggestions? The purse was new! 3 days old.

It is vinyl do not use acetone it will ruin it. Sour crea or yougurt will take care of it. Just rub and wipe and repeat also hairspray if all else fails . If the stain is set it will take a little patience.

I just finished cleaning marker off my vinyl fencing. I used acetone which I purchased at my local auto parts store. It worked great. Just wiped the marker right off. It left the finish a little dull, but some car wax fixed that. I don't know how it would do on a sofa but if works great on vinyl fencing.

My kids also drew al over my vinyl couch with ball point pen, i tried the magic eraser fingernail polish remover hairspray wd 40, 409 alcohol , everything in my cabinent and the ink didnt even lighten a little bit. I cant find anything to work. I think the couch is ruined?

Oracle is correct re: Mr. Clean's 'Eraser'. Follow the directions on the box; Eraser must be damp or squeezed well. The quicker you want to get the cleaning job down, the harder you press, but I've found that this also tends to take the finish off of things. It literally erases marks. Case in point: footprints which won't mop off on linoleum. It gets into all the little pores of the linoleum and gets the dirt.
With the vinyl couch, there shouldn't be much of a problem using this method to remove the marks; vinyl seems pretty strong. If the stool is also the same vinyl, it should be ok. If the stool is wood, you could leave the drawings on and call it the "family stool" where the children draw, but I am guessing it is vinyl. It depends on how you view the incident. If you value the kids' creativity, you might show it off. If you feel affronted by them doing it in an inappropriate place, though, then I would show them something they are allowed to draw on and use the Eraser.

Straight strength acetone....kinda like mineral spirits but different. It comes in a metal can like paint thinner. This is very strong so test a spot first and wash after with soap and water then condition the area after because it can dry stuff out. I just finished cleaning my husbands boat seats. (Daughter with ball point pen.) Hairspray worked a bit, magic eraser not at all....didn't have WD-40...Acetone was the way to go. I didn't need elbow grease either.

I'm not sure of the name, but it's called The Eraser, and I believe it's made by Mr. Clean. Sounds like a decoupage project in the making. Sorry.

i dont know any tips to help you. but i would strongly suggest that the parents of these children either help clean it or buy you a new one.
