I tried frozen sprouts on removing chewing gum from leather jackets, it worked a treat

Have you tried freezing it? Once frozen it should chip right off. It it doesn't work, put a wet wash rag in with the gum, and freeze it, while still frozen pull it off.
Peanut butter is the other thing that works great, but I don't know that I would use it on leather...may make a grease spot where the gum was.
