Maintaining Your MattressMusty Mattress To help refresh a musty mattress sprinkle baking soda on it. Let it sit for a day and then vacuum up the baking soda. Protect It Put a protective cover over your mattresses. If you have kids that are prone to accidents, a vinyl cover works the best. Flip It Get into the habit of flipping and rotating your mattress once a month. This will prevent one side from being worn down more than another. Do you have any more mattress maintenance ideas? Feedback About This Post:RE: Maintaining Your Mattress
(sent by email) Post by ThriftyFun RE: Maintaining Your MattressNot only kids have accidents, adults as well. Plus all humans perspire up to 2 pints of liquid every night. Thus everybody needs to protect their mattress. Sleeping on vinyl makes you sweat. Vinyl is a non-breathable plastic. I would suggest a waterproof yet breathable mattress protector that can be washed hot and even sterilized at 250F. Post by lostcity |
