Other Uses for Nail Polish

Nail polish purchased at garage sales, even if thickened a bit, can be thinned with nail polish remover and used to make those garage sale earrings you found very colorful. Nail polish can also be used to paint flower pots, etc. Just use a liner or flat brush and decorate away.

About thinning polish with remover; I had a friend that did this years ago and I guess she put too much in the bottle. When she started shaking it up, it blew up in her hand!

RE: Other Uses for Nail Polish

I used nail polish to cover up minor scratches on my truck. My daughter accidentally scratched the car door, with her bike, and my car is an orange car. Nail polish covered it right up!

additional idea...

Teenagers really love the metal hair clips that snap shut, but no one wants to be seen with the dollar store silver or gold ones, so a trick to cheap stylish hair clips? paint them with nail polish any color you want.

RE: Other Uses for Nail Polish

NEVER use remover to thin nail polish. it makes it gummy. polish is actually an alcohol-based paint. use plain old rubbing alcohol.
