Jar Lids as Toys

A great "toy" for a toddler: Save all your plastic jar lids (from mayonnaise, peanut butter, etc.) Save different colors and sizes, the more the better. I did this for my kids and grandkids. They can be used as: Building blocks, to identify colors, to count how many of each color there is, as play food (make a sandwich by putting a larger one between two slightly smaller ones, etc.) Just be sure that you don't use any that are small enough for child to put in their mouth and swallow.

And Jar and can lids continue to be useful for people of all ages.
Small Children
Pretend dishes-Sand box grader-A little paint and you have a suncatcher- and many tossing games

Bigger children
paint palets for budding artists- The smaller soda caps can be used as pool balls for a homemade pool table or bigger lids for shuffle board either table top or floor

Yep Also Teens
Mayonnaise caps for their coins or small treasures. That are put in their drawers The bigger caps targets for arrows and BB's
And Adults
Seed starters-Desk Paper clip or staple holder- Under potted plants-Trumb tack Needle and pin cushions.
For fishing tackle box a place to attach and seperate your hooks.plugs and flies.
Use lid for hand sanding. Also use one lid when disasembling something storing the nuts and bolts all in one place.
Off hand that is all I have right now, but there probably are hundreds more reused.
So Don't Flip Your Lid - ReUSE IT

Jar lids such as those mentioned also make a quick, inexpensive coaster!

My son loved to play w/ jar lids! He had the metal (no sharp edges) type & plastic ones in different sizes & colors. He kept his collection in a zippered lunch box & played w/ them every day! For a few years! They also make great circle stencils for crafts.

Hi, I let the kids play with them in the bathtub. They float. The kids really like them. They also use them in the pool. Loretta
