How can pine furniture be repaired if perfume has been spilled on it?

RE: Removing Perfume Smell from Wooden Dresser

Sam--have you had any luck with the methods suggested to remove the perfume smell? I have the identical problem in the drawer of a dresser I bought. I fear the perfume oil has penetrated the wood but don't want to start taking the drawer apart if something else works.
