Living on One Income

The best tip I can give about living on one income would probably be this one. When our daughters were small, we decided that it was important for me to be at home taking care of them every day, especially after we took the cost of child care into consideration. Any money I made would have gone to pay for someone to raise my children while I worked. That was quite a thought and we quickly rejected the idea of me working. I am happy to say that our children are grown and though we have had to do without some things, it was worth it to pinch pennies and do without some to have had the pleasure and blessings of raising my children and being with them every day. There's nothing worth more than your children!

RE: Homemade Dog Repellent

Cayenne pepper....keeps not only dogs, but other animals as well away. It does work I've tried it.You may have to continue to use if it gets blown away or watered down, but it does work. Good luck.

RE: Smelly Faucet or Pipes

Once a week I put a couple teaspoons of baking soda down the pipes and then pour some vinegar down. It will foam up. Let it set for a bit and then run water to clean it out. It works for me, maybe it will for you.

RE: Smelly Faucet or Pipes

I found this on a plumbing web site. I hope it helps!

Q: I have a bad odor coming from either my drain or the faucet itself (in bathroom). Smells like rotten eggs! I think it's coming from the faucet because it starts smelling as soon as I turn the water on. Any suggestions?

A: Karen,

Do you have this problem at all outlets. If you do it is a water problem. Or you will probably find it is coming from the drain. Soap buildup etc in the drain is being activated as the water hits it. Clean the drainpipe and I am sure you will solve the problem. (If you can't fix it hold your nose.)
Good luck
