Make Some Gardening Pants

Make a pair of gardening pants out of an old pair of jeans. Sew the pockets from a pair of old pants on the knees of a pair of jeans. Then stuff the pockets with some foam rubber. These built in knee pads really save your knees. Just remove the foam rubber when you wash the pants.

RE: Make Some Gardening Pants

What a great idea! I'm thinking about making a pair of "mopping" pants just like this. We have tile floors that are hard on my knees. Seems like a good idea for some old "around the house" pants that could be worn "as is" and then easily be stuffed for chores that require kneeling.
