Fabric Wallpaper Technique

A few years ago I watched a demonstration of using fabric like wallpaper on a painted wall. I can't remember what was used as the "paste." I do remember that when the fabric was removed, there was no mess--you could just wash off the wall and it was fine. Does anyone know of this type of decorating technique?

Thank you in advance.

Does anyone know if this technique works over walls that have that sprayed drywall textured finish?

RE: Fabric Wallpaper Technique

I've been wanting to do my son's room with an outdoor/hunter theme. I have cammo patterned burlap that I wanted to do one wall with, but didn't know how to apply it. Thank you! I'm thinking because it is heavier fabric that some kind of nailed on trim at the top would be appropriate.
