Salsa Is Too SweetLiz from Tolono, IL Feedback About This Post:RE: Salsa Is Too SweetJust add lime or lemon juice a little at a time until it's to your taste. Post by blackbess RE: Salsa Is Too Sweet
You could dice up some tomatoes and/or add a dash of a hot spice like habanero. Post By Dorina (Guest Post) RE: Salsa Is Too SweetI would add some lime juice to it. Don't forget to zap your fresh lime for 10 seconds in the microwave, then roll on the counter while pressing down to get the most juice out of it. Add juice a tablespoon at a time stirring well and then tasting to get it right for your taste buds! Post by katklaw777 RE: Salsa Is Too SweetWhen in doubt, slow cook chicken and add it together. I flavors of the chicken will soften the sweetness. Or cook some rice and add salt. It might cut the sweetness to. Post by Daphna101 RE: Salsa Is Too Sweet
Tomatoes will cut the sweetness, as well as enhance the flavor of the beans and corn. Post By jsham (Guest Post) RE: Salsa Is Too Sweet
I read that cider vinegar will work in things too sweet, I think I had that same salsa and I threw it out. I wish I had known putting the cider vinegar in :-) Post by ILuvDobes RE: Salsa Is Too SweetVinegar to taste? Post by thriftyengineer RE: Salsa Is Too SweetIf you like heat, get a few jalapenos, roast them lightly, chop up and add... yummy! Post By MEOC (Guest Post) |
