Removing Scratches from a Piano

How do you get small scratches and nicks out of an old dark mahogany console piano?

I definitely agree with Old English for dark woods, it works wonders. But there are also stain pens now in different colors just like wood stains sold in cans. They work just like a paint pen. They also work wonders and you can purchase them where ever stains are sold. I've used them to touch up scratches on wood panelled walls, nicks on table legs, and to stain small wood craft projects.

Old English sells a dark scratch cover furniture polish. There is also a product available only to professional refinishers, so you would have to track it down: Howard's is the brand and it's a scratch remover. It will stain, permanently, anything it touches so do your retouching with old clothes on, and certainly not standing over an uncovered rug.
