Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserFeedback About This Post:RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI have used it in my bathtub and it works great to get out the soapscum. But no one has mentioned using the magic eraser in the toilet. It does work. Just wear gloves. Post by joniseque RE: things magic eraser cant do
It cannot remove permanent marker from most surfaces, but I found something that can easily. Aerosol hair spray that's right, write something on surface with marker and spray it. Watch the ink lift right off just wipe away with paper towel and it's gone! Post By John (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI use it to clean my white mac book, works great! Also use it for my white flip flops, and dirty bathtubs, that will not clean with a normal cleaner. Post By Ally L (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserYou can use it dry to clean tarnished silverware. The tarnish dissapears. Its AWESOME! It also got rust spots off of my knives (stainless steel). Post By Sarah (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI use a combination of Mr Clean Magic Eraser and Mr Clean Orange Cleaner to clean stubborn dry erase marker boards. We have marker boards here that have had writing on them for 10 years. Two passes with the "Magic Orange" combo cleans all of it off, and then one final pass with a papertowel and a few spritzes of Orange Clean makes the board spotless. Its an unbeatable combination, which works on formica counter tops, table tops, stainless steel sinks, refridgerator shelves, etc. The Orange Clean is gentle enough to not chemically damage surfaces, like granite, but I do not recommend using the Magic Eraser on granite as it dulls the finish. Post By Ron D (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserIt got hair dye off my forehead and ears with ease. Some claimed it burned, I thought it just tingled a bit. we also use it every summer (we go through a box or 2), to clean off our white boat seats (the vinyl). The rims of our cars, the garage entry door, baseboards.. i literally use this for every tough cleaning job i have around my house. Beware of use on wood, it will leave a nasty white residue. Post By Amy S (Guest Post) Washroom stalls.I work at a large church and found that the eraser does not work at all to remove permanent marker or most things written on metal stall doors or walls for the washrrom stalls. Post By Kevin (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserMy 5 yr old son took a magic marker and drew on my kitchen cabinet door and some on the kitchen wall. Do magic erasers work to remove these works of Art? Post By Diana (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserMy dear little girl LOVES doing art work, on my walls! Crayons are her favorite. Don't tell her, but it's not a problem anymore! Post By Monica (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserMy dear little girl LOVES doing art work, on my walls! Crayons are her favorite. Don't tell her, but it's not a problem anymore! Post By Monica (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserBelieve it or not, it works great for demabrasion on your face or skin, but rub lightly! Post By Linda Niemi (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserIt will definately scratch high gloss formica countertops. You can see the scratches if the light is behind the formica. But you can't feel or see it form above. Don't use much pressure at all. Post By Paul M. (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserThe magic eraser will work well with a spray bottle of vinegar to remove built up soapscum and water deposits from the tub and shower. Crayon marks come off washable wallpaper with very little effort too. Post by greylady RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI'm going to try it for some of the posted uses. However, the first time I tried it on my painted wall it took off black marks but left very visible "erase" marks which I had to repaint. Wouldn't recommend it for flat painted areas. Post by Love to decorate! RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
Can anyone tell me if this works to take off the black rubber marking from the lawn mower wheels off vinyl fencing? Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserThese work great on mildew stains for outside wooden furniture. We have two white wooden rockers that needed to be repainted because of mildew stains...I tried the eraser and it made them sparkling white again! Post By Staci (Guest Post) What are they made of ?
i need to know its for a school project! Post By person that has no name (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI am trying to find out if you think it would help remove colored candle was for a white linolieum kitchen floor without dulling the floor itself? Post By Kimberly D. Sherrod (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserNot sure if anyone out there has tried this, but I have an Apple laptop, an iBook, and well, after using it for awhile, you get that dark spot where your wrists sit, and I've tried cleaning solutions, but it just lightens it a bit. I decided to try this and it works amazingly well!! I LUV this thing, and am trying it on everything I can think of! So try it on your laptops! Post By iLauren (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserMy car got vandalized by some punks, and the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser easily removed the permanent marker that they wrote on my hood with. Post By Liz (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserMy roommate and I tried the eraser on our off-white linoleum kitchen floor last night and ended up "erasing" almost all of the floor with only 2 sponges. She literally had JUST finished mopping and complained that the floor still looked dirty. This eraser broke right through the tough cracks and pulled out dirt like nothing I have ever seen before! We are so excited and love our floor now! I really wish they would make the same type of product that would clean your entire floor without having to get on your hands and knees. But then again, the results make it worth a sore back. I LOVE THIS THING! Post By CMW (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserIf you are ready to bury your, or someone else's, dishes in the backyard because nothing you've tried will remove the coating of slime, mold and grease that has built up over the last six months in the sink, give the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser a try! Yes, there is, finally, "salvation for slobs"! Post By Yawni Soo (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI just tried the Eraser on my stainless steel sink... WOW! I've tried every possibile cleaner on it to no avail. Out of desperation, I pulled out a pretty well used eraser (had been used to get marker off the walls & doors in the play room) and it looks brand new! Amazed! Post By Mom of 2 in Texas (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserSince it first came out i bought it a few time, the magic eraser and its about THE BEST household product i have ever used in my 28 years!!!! FOR REAL!! WELL, i just wanteed to say, use it in ur shower, i just thought i would try and all i can say is WOW! it made my tub and walls look just like when i first moved into my apt. its crazy i wanna know how it does that! Post By September (Guest Post) i need your help!!i am 14 and we just got $5000.00 leather couches today and it has been less that 24 hours and i made a big pen mark on one of them does anyone know how to get it off plz respond in the next 20 minutes thank you :( Post By mary (Guest Post) RE: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on Pergo Floors
I think you are talking about shoe scuff marks, right? The Magic Erasers are slightly abrasive but I think it would be okay for Pergo. They say on them not to use on highly polished surfaces. Get Magic Eraser wet, squeeze out the excess water and scrub lightly. If it seems to be working, continue but just remember that it can dull the finish if you scrub too hard. Post by ThriftyFun RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI need something for scuffs on laminate floors. Would this work? Post By Dianne (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
Has anyone tried using them on milky white plastic dishes? They get discolored or stained so fast, and they looked so nice when I bought the set. I guess I'm going to have to try it and let everyone know!!! also I would like to know if it has damaged anything for anyone? Post By Vicki (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraseri work at a restaurant and we use it to get that nasty filmy stuff left on the ceiling from the deep fryers... one swipe and its completely gone, when kids colour everywhere with their crayons it takes it out of the wallpaper, wooden tables, etc... it even got permanent marker off of the wooden bathroom stall doors!!! Post By Brittany (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserWorking in a nursing home, I use them a lot and they work great on walls, tubs, sinks and baseboards. However, they will scratch some surfaces and I certainly would NOT use it on my face!! There are specially made products for that! Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) Cleaning Carpet Stains
At a birthday party, a strawberry got squished into my cream colored carpet. I sprayed it with the oxy clean spray and let it sit and then used my Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to scrub the stain and it came right out. Post by ThriftyFun Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for Clothing Stains
Use a wet Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and scrub stains on clothes. I recently did this with Spaghetti sauce on a shirt that I did not have time to rewash and it came right out. I have also used this on pen that had been washed and dried several times. The stain is not completely gone, but light enough to wear the shirt again. Post by ThriftyFun A way of removing hard water stains.
I allways get the hard water, orange coloured stains on my bath tub. I find that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponges remove the stains very well. After scrubbing for a bit they begin to disapear. Post by ThriftyFun RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserThis may sound odd,..but could it be used as a facial dermabrasion? Post By Moe's Mom (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserIt easily took the mildew stains off the rubber seals on my fridge. Nothing else even touched them. I also use them to take the black scuff marks off the legs of my white kitchen chairs. It takes some of the shine off the finish, but it still looks better than scuffs. Post By Lois (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI've used them for everything from removing stains from my countertop (white Formica) to dark bathtub rings (stupid blue washrags, haha) Post by SVRunningMan Using Magic Erasers

Post By sandy. (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI used it for the first time today and LOVED it. I used it for all the typical uses that I've read about. Then, I used it on my stove......WOW. It took the cooked-on gunk OFF. It left a white film that I wiped away with water and a dishcloth. :) Very impressed! Post By Susan (Guest Post) RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserThese work great to clean white leather athletic shoes. I make the sponges last longer by cutting them into 3 or 4 pieces. I have found them at my local dollar store 3 pack for a dollar and they are just as good as the Mr. Clean brand. Post By carolfromwi (Guest Post) Mr. Clean Eraser Blocks
Mr. Clean eraser blocks clean almost any mark or type of grime without using any additional cleaning chemicals. They are great if you have allergies or are sensitive to commercial cleaners. Post by ThriftyFun RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic EraserI think one of my girlfriends had a problem using it on chrome. I used it on the bathtub and my white kitchen chairs - beautiful! Post by toni k. RE: Uses for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraseri TOO HAVE USED IT FOR MANY THINGS... MY WHITE KITCHEN CABINETS... MANY THINGS NOTHING ELSE WOUL HELP.
