Using It All - Deodorant

On our weekend away over Labor Day, I discovered that I had left the new deodorant behind, and only had the old one which was down to the plastic that holds the deodorant in! But, I managed to scrape enough deodorant off that holder with a toothpick to apply and it actually lasted over the long weekend. (Be sure to wash your hands throughly after, tho...)

You're on the same wavelength as me when I cut the end off the tube of toothpaste so I can stir my brush in there and get the last molecule of it. Feels virtuous most of the time, but I agree, sometimes I feel just a little silly and maybe obsessive. Hey, it's only money, but it's money!

LOL I do this. However, I just use my finger tips and scrap it out of the little holder. Apply and wash hands. I use up all the deodorant. that way. Sometimes I feel like, why should I do this?! Old habits die hard.

The Tightwad Gazette had a tip. Collect all those deodorant ends, put them in a glass custard cup, microwave for 45 secs or till melted then pour into a recycled deodorant container. This is best if you use the same deodorant all the time otherwise the combinations of perfumes may end up gross.
