Removing a Bathtub Drain Rim

I need a tool to get the bathtub drain rim out. Do I need an expandable type of wrench, there is nothing left inside the rim to grab onto?

I'm having the same problem, did you get an answer to that problem? I broke off all the prongs. Now how do I get it out?

We have the very same problem right now... The people who sold us the place just had the upper part glued on to make it lLOOK like it worked properly. First time I cleaned the tub it came off in my hands! (Thank God, at least I'm aware of it!) Anyway, ours screws into the drain pipe. Ours is also broken off. Looks like we'll need a plumber, as the drain is corroded & REALLY stuck on to the drain pipe... What a MESS! ... This month I'm going to have a pro look at it... I'll let you know...
Mean time, I shower at my daughters... Don't want water under the trailer...
