Tips for Nicer Hair

Are there any easy ways that I can get nicer hair? My hair is fine but every time after I take a shower my hair frizzes up and it looks all poofy and ugly. I always have to tie my hair after I take a bath but then it always makes my hair a little lumpish looking when I take it off. So please if you have any tips, it would really help

I have tried a lot of shampoos and expensive conditioners and believe it or not, the best thing that has worked for me is a hair mask made of egg and honey. Beat up 2 eggs and mix in 2 spoons of honey, add a spoon of sesame seed oil and mix well. Apply it on to each strand of hair and let it set for about an hour. Rinse thoroughly and shampoo with any good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner-Redken and Pantene both work well for damaged and frizzy hair. Let your hair air dry for the most part and when it is slightly damp set it with a blow dryer and a big round brush. Try to avoid a hair iron. You can then apply a drop of biosilk for a smoother look and feel. Good luck!

Biosilk! It is perfect, it keeps hair from drying out and keeps it from being thirsty!

hey use a straightener thats whst i do and if you use a straighter for long enouph it will train your hair and it wont be poofy the next time you have a shower or you could try puting gel in your hair while its still wet and then scrunch your hair thats what my mom does

A cheap fix is the apply hand cream to your hands, rub in until most of it is absorbed and then rub into the ends of your hair and down the length to calm frizzies. You have to experiment with how much is too much etc but it works well for me! I read this tip in a celebrity style article. The best part is you can keep a small tube of hand cream in your purse and use as necessary through the day.

I use Giovanni 50-50 shampoo, its not too expensive, I got it at a health food store, and it moisturizes as well as clenses. After the shower i let my hair dry 80% then spray in some Panteen conditioning spray for color treated hair. I then blow dry with a ceramic brush, which is almost like using a straightening iron but alot less harmful.

My hair is fine and flyaway. The best thing I have found to tame it is Static Guard. I just blowdry it and comb it the way I want it and then spray the Static Guard on my comb and comb it through my hair. I calms it down and make it more managable.

try keeping a towel wrapped round hair and potter around the house until towel soaks nearly all moisture then try drying off brushing constantly until sleek and straight, then add the smallest amount of vaseline to the tips to smooth it over.
let me know if this helps

Try brushing with a comb as it will not tease up the hair as a brush does. Also, wrap in cling film while damp and let dry (keep it straight).

I have thick full hair with natural curls...it gets lumps,
bent, and frizz so I fixed it with
1) rub a dab of reg hair conditioner on your hair before you style, even when dry it will not give oily look just shiny pretty..
2) in store look in afro sheen aisles and get the bottle of spray luster,a nd tube of blue hair gel
I use this as I used to pay big $$ for hair stuff
and my sis does hair and one of her clients told
her the products to look for and save $$$$
good luck, try...

There is a product called "frizz-ease" that works wonders on dry, frizzy hair. You will find it in the shampoo aisle. You apply it to damp hair right after shampooing.

Kat,
I have the same problem! Fine hair but after I blow-dry it, it looks wavy, frizzy, poofy on one side and straight on the other! what am I supposed to do with hair like that??? I use a flat iron on mine. There are also WONDERFUl products out there to straighten, tame and make nice, your horrible unruly hair, but it is expensive to buy the whole line. I just use a spray on heat protector and my flat iron every day, it works wonders and I don't look icky. a.
