RE: Ladybugs in the House

You actually can put a clean vacuum bag in your vacuum, vacuum them up, then put a ziploc baggy over the hole of the vacuum bag and allow them to go into the ziploc baggy and sell them to farmers or on ebay. You can also freeze them then thaw them later and sell them. They are harmless and they kill aphids on plants.

RE: Ladybugs in the House

Hi,
I'm so glad to know that I'm not crazy. One day I was going to get the mail and I felt on my elbow what felt like a fly biting me I looked down and low and behold there was a ladybug. When I told people they told me I was crazy ladybugs don't bite so it's good to know I'm not crazy afterall. That's the only time it ever happened. We get them in the house every winter they're just trying to find a warm spot to get out of the cold and I think they like the warmth that comes through the windows that's why they're drawn to them.We have one of those small rectangular lights in our kitchen and I'm always having to clean them out after they get in there and fry. They don't really bother me to much usally I just let them go outside.I would suggest however if you have a glass sitting around and theres any light around cover it with a napkin or something cause they can drop out of the blue, and same thing with your cooking and lids I had to throw a whole pot of soup out after one landed in the pot yuck.I'm thinking about checking into where they winter over outside and maybe building some type of shelter for them.Maybe a butterffly house with some straw in it or something.Maybe we could all go into buisness together and start a mail order company.Afterall people do pay good money for those little buggers.

I don't know why people get upset about Ladybugs, they're supposed to be lucky. Why not gather them up, if they're still alive, and put them out in the yard. They're good for eating bugs. I feel that it's wrong to kill them since they are a "good" bug. Now if you were talking about roaches, that's another story. Think about getting them together and put them on a plant, please.

Suck those cute but pesky critters up with your vacuum, then empty outside. This works for me.

Speaking on these cute critters, anyone else noticed that these suckers pack a bite? Or is it my imagination? Smile everyone, this is a day that the Lord has made!

Ladybugs are harmless to humans. Sweep them up and deposit outside. Then look for the entrances they come in through and seal them.
