In the case that came with my contacts years ago, I have put a mini emergency kit....a few bandages, antibacterial ointment, mini scissors, a few Q-tips, pins, needle & thread, a little bit of money (quarters, dimes and nickels), kleenex (tissues), personal hygiene items, etc. Every once in a while it comes in very handy.
