Use Glow Bracelets for Nighttime Power Outages

Next time you are at the dollar store, pick up some of those Glo-Bracelets that light up when you crack them. Keep them tucked away to use the next time there is a night time thunderstorm. Just crack a bracelet open, (causing it to light up) and hang it on your little one's door knob. This way, if the electricity goes out during the night, your child will still be able to find their way to their door and then will be able to use the Glo-Bracelet as a little flashlight. My 9 year old daughter thought of this idea on a stormy night!

You have a very "BRIGHT" nine year old young lady.
We have the small plug- in night lights that are set to AUTO to turn on if the power is cut. It has happened only 3-4 times in 34 years , but they do work and last for several years . We bought them at True Value Hardware store, but you might try Wal-Mart or some of the other hardware stores in your area. Plus we use battery powered-sensor candles in each room on the floor because our dog wanders at night and lays down just anywhere to sleep. This way we can see him if we have to get up during the night and not step on him or trip over him. GG Vi
