Browned Cubed Steak with Gravy! Post By Amanda (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube Steak
My favorite for Cube steak is as follows: Post By Sheila S (Guest Post) Easy Cube Steak DinnerThis is so easy! I season a little flour with salt, pepper and garlic powder and dredge the steaks in it. I cut up onions and green pepper into fine strips and cook them in a frying pan with a little vegetable oil until slightly soft. Add the steaks in to the pan and cover the meat and vegetables with a can of cream of tomato soup. (You might need 2 cans depending on how many steaks you are cooking.) Cover and let simmer about 20 minutes. The soup absorbs the juices from the meat and the vegetables and makes a great gravy for mashed potatoes! YUMMMMMMMY This is my husband's favorite. Post By Marti (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube SteakSeason your cube steak, cook in frying pan on med heat,5 min. each side - then put in a casserole dish. Spray the bottom with pam, spoon spaghetti sauce on top & then sprinkle with sharp shredded cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 till cheese is golden brown, Enjoy! My Mom's recipe, man is it good! Chop up onions as fine as you can get them, then add butter to the pan, then add finely diced onions to butter. Cook till the onions are really soft but not mushy. Post By Reno cube steak (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube Steak
I first put my cubed steak in egg and lowerys seasoning. I dip it in there real good. Then I flour the steak real good. I then fry it in oil. I make gravy with the remaining oil from frying the steaks. I serve with home made biscuits and rice. With corn on the cob on the side. With a glass of sweet tea to drink. It is a very good meal. Post By Linda (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube SteakThe only way my mother ever prepared cube steak growing up was to egg it, and bread it in a mixture of Italian flavored bread crumbs and parm cheese. Fry the steaks up in some olive oil and serve with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. People on diets might want to try a different recipe than this one...ENJOY!!! For this recipe you need: Post By Amanda (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube SteakI season meat and dredge in flour fry in a lil bit of oil brown on both sides stick them in a oven bake pan and add flour to the remaining grease and pour over meat for the gravy and cook on 350 for 30-45 minutes Post By Kimberly Brown (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube SteakMix flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl. ( Add just enough to taste) coat both sides of the cube steak and place in large skillet with about 1 tbsp of olive oil. Brown both sides until almost completely cooked through. In a separate bowl mix one can of cream of onion (you can also use cream of celery or cream of mushroom) and a brown gravy mix. I use homestyle jar gravy (for beef). Place your cube steak in the crockpot and cover with the soup and gravy mixture. Place on low and let cook at least 5 hours. The meat comes out so tender. It is my husbands favorite dinner. Season with salt and pepper and dredge in flour. Brown both sides in a little bit of oil. PLace in a baking pan and cover with 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 package brown gravy mix. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes. Post By AManda (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube Steak
Flip them in flour and make sure to coat meat well, you can even cut them in half if you prefer smaller portions. Brown them in about two tablespoons of evoo (extra vergin olive oil) and place them in a bake dish. Put them in oven at about 225 degrees F. Boil and mash potatoes. While potatoes are cooking, place two tablespoons of butter in frypan then cooked meat and loosen up the sticky brown pieces off the bottom of pan. Add three tablespoons of flour, pinch of salt and pepper (I add a pinch of garlic). You should have the burner on med. Work it all together and cook a couple of minutes, adding two cups of water (makes the gravy). Serve with a cream or whole kernel corn. Post By Ray (Guest Post) Baked Steak.

I love cube steak, when it is not cooked to death. I use a spice called Cavenders, it is an all purpose greek seasoning. It can be used on many different meats. I prepare my cube steak by sprinkling about a teaspoon of Cavenders directly on both sides of the cube steak , then flour. Fry them in a thin coat of hot oil on medium until no longer pink inside. Check out the website for more ideas on how to use this spice. Post by goodgreif40 RE: Recipes Using Cube SteakFirst fix one package stuffing mix.Lay steak flat, place 1/4 cup stuffing on steak. Roll up steak and secure with tooth pick.Next, brown steaks on all sides. Drain and place in 13x9" pan. Next pour soup or gravy over top of steak rolls. You may use any of the following: brown gravy, mushroom gravy....OR cream of mushroom soup or cr. of chicken soup. Cover pan with foil and bake 350* for one hour. You could also do this in crock pot instead of oven. Post by Donna Rae RE: Recipes Using Cube Steak
For cubed steak, all I do is put them in the crockpot with a couple cans of brown gravy and let them cook until tender, add mashed potatoes and you have a great meal, and it's fast and easy, my type of cooking. Post By Teresa (Guest Post) RE: Recipes Using Cube SteakThe only way I have ever made them is a childhood favorite of mine. Season some flour with salt and pepper. Dredge the cube steaks in the flour mixture and brown in margerine. Place in a casserole dish. Put a slice of onion on each one and then cover with one or two cans (depending on how much gravy you want) of mushroom steak sauce or beef consumme. Cover with foil and bake for about 45-60 minutes on 350. Serve with mashed potatoes. Great comfort food!! Post by Cindy S. RE: Recipes Using Cube SteakI've used this easy recipes for years.
