I tried a product from www.rustring.com called the rust ring preventor that worked well for me. They also have lids for your cleanser cans that work nice. I bought a 3 pack that had 3 different sizes for all your cans.

"use clear nail polish"....what about the color of nailpolish that was given to you that you hate or the color that you just do not use any more? This is a good way to use them up.

You can also paint the rim with clear fingernail polish to prevent it from rusting.
