Team Building Activities

I need to organize events to increase team spirit and keep the employees in touch in my company. I really need some creative ideas. The activities can be indoor or outdoor, but I prefer that it's mainly indoor.

RE: Team Building Activities

I use to work for a large automotive company. Some team building skills we did was the company bought different type hard to put together toys,, which as a team we did and then donated to Christmas angel tree.. Some of those toys are really hard and we all had to work together in teams.. We also had basketball throw and shots in the factory. Great idea.. Post a box in the break room and get ideas from your people. The one with the most creative idea for the month or week however you would like it. Gets a 10.00 Gift card or something.

RE: Team Building Activities

Have you thought about inservices where you report on some important issue while on the job site that maybe could also be a problem for many and how to deal with it.

Have an employee each month be the spokesperson for the inservice and allow them to report on whatever topic they feel would benefit the workers on a whole.

It's also a way of teaching others topics they might not have learned any other way.

Address open discussion periods where workers won't be put off or penalized for opinions or suggestions. New ideas from workers can not only be cost cutting issues for the business, but when seen put to use, workers know they are valued employees and that what they have to say does matter and that lifts the spirit.

Bring in canned goods to help the needy or clothes outgrown to help someone in a housefire or flood that's lost everything.

Gather ideas from workers on how to redecorate the break room they use if its painting the walls, getting new chairs, wall hangings, etc. Women love that sort of thing.

The guys might enjoy redoing a break room to their own liking using hunting, fishing, etc. items to hang on the walls and feel like they have a comfort room to enjoy using. Could make it into a contest guys against the gals whose room looks best.
