Decorating a Hall for My Birthday
Well I am having a 15th birthday party. It is going to be a dance in October. I need some advice on how to decorate the hall that i am going to have it in. What colors i should go with? I really like the baby colors lke baby blue, light pink and yellow. Any advice?

Don Herrold Babies are such a nice way to start people.
Anonymous Ten fingers, ten toes She's laughter and teardrops So small and brand new And amazingly angelic She's sent to bless you She's one special Baby The best of life's treasure And will grant and bless you Many hours of great pleasure.
Anonymous Take a sprinkling of fairy dust, An angel's single feather, Also a dash of love and care, Then mix them both together. Add a sentiment or two, A thoughtful wish or line, A touch of stardust, a sunshine ray... It's a recipe, for a Baby Girl truly fine.

RE: Poem for Baby Shower
A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak." "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
"You will simply call her, 'Mom.'"

Here's a few, not sure what exactly you are looking for maybe one of these is what you are looking for:
Thank You From Baby
I'm really glad that you could come to help surprise my mother. Sit down, relax, enjoy yourselves and chat with one another. Sorry I can't be with you to share in Mommy's shower but you see I'm very busy cause I'm growing more each hour. Though I'm not here to thank you for the special gift you brought My family and I are grateful... We appreciate the thought. I'll be arriving shortly I'm as happy as can be So after I've been home awhile Please come visit me! ======================== The Greatest of Gifts
Ten little fingers, Ten little toes, The sweetest of smiles And a cute little nose All these add up To a very special thing-- A baby--- The greatest of gifts That life can bring. =========================
God sent you the best He had -- The blessings of baby hands And ten small toes that come in rows Imported from Angel lands! God blessed the little darling And to earth sent us this joy; Who has won our hearts already, Your Blessed Baby. I send you the best I have - A wish that is big and true; That God will bless with tenderness His dear little Gift and you! ========================= Precious one, So small, So sweet
Dancing in on angel feet Straight from Heaven's brightest star
What a miracle you are! ============================= A Baby is . . .
A baby is cuddles and tickles on toes, the sweet scent of powder, a kiss on the nose! A baby is teddy bears, rattles, and pins, meals at midnight...giggles and grins. ================================== A Baby is a Miracle
This little tiny baby Was sent from God above To fill our hearts with happiness And touch our lives with love He must have known We'd give our all And always do our best To give our precious baby love And be grateful and so blessed -------------------- This one could be changed to:
This little tiny baby Was sent from God above To fill your heats with happiness And touch your lives with love He must have known You'd give your all And always do your best To give your precious baby love And be grateful and so blessed

RE: Poem for Baby Shower
Not exactly what you were looking for maybe but a sweet baby poem lol
Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth, Empty the dustpan, poison the moth, Hang out the washing, make up the bed, Sew on a button and butter the bread.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking? She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue, Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo. Dishes are waiting and bills are past due Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo Look! Aren't his eyes the most wonderful hue? Lullabye, rockaby lullabye loo.
The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow But children grow up as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep! I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

Wow. A Hall! Well, if it's at night, then your pastels aren't going to show up in the dark very well, if the room is going to be dark. Keep that in mind.
October is not a pastel time either.
However, you could go for lovely light candy pink, or go dark with jewel toned dark blue for example in the lighted areas. If the dancing hall is mostly dark, go for something white and shimmery or gold or silver. Fabrics, like netting with a glittery pattern already worked in work great.
This all depends on your interests. Do you want it to feel like homecoming and fancy or fun and casual? Homecoming theme: masquerade. Fun: luau, western, costume party for pre-halloween. Those are my ideas. Take care and good luck! JW
