I use OxyClean and sometimes bleach for colors. Usually the OxyClean does the best for us.

To the person who posted about cleaning dirty white socks in Dishwashing detergent. Are you talking the powedered kind? Do you just dissolve in hot water in a basin and hand wash? Please give us more details. I used to have a porcelain covered cast iron sink that would get stained. I found if I filled up ea side with hot water and sprinkled in some powdered dishwashing detergent, let soak for quite a while, my sinks came out spotless and beautiful. Thanks, Debbie

A lot of dishwasher detergents have chlorine in them which is the same as bleach. Read the ingrediants before using if you don't want to use bleach.

Dish soap for white socks huh? How much dish soap do you recommend for my husband's nasty, grey socks?

believe it or not....Dishwashing soap that you use in dishwashers. I have NEVER had such white sox! I am so happy to share this "secret" with you and everyone that reads this. *smile*
