Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledThank you! jmz2005 from illinois Feedback About This Post:RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
I had all top teeth pulled and I have been eating a lot of yoplait yogurt cause they have a lot of different flavors and taste really good. One for breakfast one for lunch and one for supper. Is this really good for me? I don't get my upper denture for another 8 weeks or so I was hoping someone could help me out with any suggestions. I did try chicken fried rice with no chicken and it made me really sick, so no more rice for me. Post by tweetystalcup RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
Hi everyone, Post by lsauve54 RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI highly reccomend buying FRESH pineapple if you are having teeth pulled. Even if you can only put you gums on it, the enzymes in it help the pain and speed healing. Post by Toebeanie RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
I was depressed for years, do to losing my mother, then I started my own diet no weight watchers or etc from April of last year to this year. I dropped a whooping 117 pounds. At 90 pounds I was in the Frederick, MD news post, I was a diabetic, bad cholesterol, high blood pressure and depression meds. Now I am free of all that, no meds but I had very bad teeth and never went to a dentist due to being scared and bad experiences. My father just had a serious car accident and lost the dentures he's had for 40 years in the process. I came on here looking for something he could eat. In addition to many of the other items, we just had great success with Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake Rolls (like Swiss Cakes without the chocolate)! Thank God! Post By Gonster (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI had 5 teeth pulled out and can only eat mash with gravy, curry sauce, ice cream, baked potato, p.s flavored water is good as it taste like you are eating fruit and gravy as it taste like chicken or whatever flavour, as I know it's hard and getting bored of this food I'm finding this site useful. Good luck. x Post By lucy (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI found that eating foods any kind are easy as long as you do it slowly and if the food is too hard just crunch it down first one recipe that was very easy to eat was shepherd's pie sometimes called China man's pie either way its ground beef very small with cream corn on top of it and then mashed potatoes and then bake it in the oven, it doesn't taste as plain as all these things would alone and it is really easy to eat :) Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI had my tooth pulled out yesterday and I was in agony for the rest of the day. A few good pain killers and a sleep made me feel better. As for food I would suggest anything you would feed your baby that has no teeth is ok for you to eat. Make sure its warm NOT hot or cold food. Take your time and rinse your mouth with warm salty water after every meal and before bed. Post By Claire (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledApplesauce, mashed potatoes and ice cream. Post By anthony igbodo (Guest Post) Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI'm getting ready to have full dentures. Today, I had all of my lower teeth pulled, in 3 appointments. However, the dentures are not yet ready. I found that Carnation Instant Breakfast is a great way to swallow milk loaded with needed vitamins. I also drink Vitawater, to ensure I get the daily nutrients I need. I drink warm, not hot soup with crackers soaked up, to absorb the acid. I also found that I can take a small food processor and finely chop food and ad to liquid to swallow, to get the same taste and nourishment. But, I do look forward to learning to chew with my new dentures, when they arrive. I'm still in pain, at the moment, but I will move forward and take anyone's advice, of the same. Post By Steve (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI really don't feel that bad and I just had two of my teeth pulled two days ago and I doing ok. I really haven't eaten much but I don't have that much pain. I have been eating jello and applesauce. I ate a ham sandwich yesterday and it took me a long time to eat it because I didn't want to get anything on my left side where I got my teeth pulled out at. Post By Latreace (Guest Post) MartinI just got 3 teeth pulled today and I made this wonderful baked potatoes with melted butter and mushrooms with a small amount of cheese. Don't forget to let it cool down. I would would stay away from all hot or warm food. Post By Martin (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledChicken and corn soup from a Chinese shop, packets of flavored noodles cut up really little, and all the other stuff has been covered by everybody good luck. Could anybody tell me how long it takes for the majority of the pain to go. My partner had all his top teeth out 5 days ago and he is still in a pretty bad way any assistance would be grateful. Post By Karen (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI just got my teeth pulled. I think rice is bad because it can get stuck in the hole you just got your teeth pulled out of. Bananas are good yogurt and shakes are good because you drink them, also jello and pudding are good. Good luck! Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
Hey I just had 4 teeth removed due to the need of braces soon. Anyone know anything savoury which I would be able to eat? Just getting sick of all the sweet stuff (custard jelly stewed fruit, etc) it would be much appreciated :) Post By Noelle (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledI just got a tooth pulled and I'm in so much pain. I have been eating eggs, pancakes and pudding. Is there anything else I can eat? Can't even chew anything. Pasta is too hard! Smokers can get dry a socket very easily. What to do? Post By Fred Moore (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
Well, the way I look at it, you can have anything you want. You just puree everything. It doesn't sound appetizing, but, you can get the nutrients you need. I used to do this for my grandmother when she could no longer wear her dentures. I gave her everything! Cook meats (roast beef, ham etc...) until soft, and puree them with potatoes. Beans & corn are a little tricky, because of the skin. When you puree your veggies - add a little milk and enough butter or margarine and seasonings to your liking in a blender....AND AWAY YOU GO!! =-) Post By Lisa (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulledjmz, I have been there, got that and couldn't afford the t-shirt afterwards. I had my entire upper level pulled at one time, and the entire lower level at one time. On each occasion, I proceded to live on mainly campbell soups -- "Cream of" until my gums started to harden, then I graduated to vegetarian types, and finally to those w/ meat in 'em. The last food I got back to eating solid was fish. Due to the bones. Post by Underw8 RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledSorbet, ice cream, apple sauce, squash. Puree some fruits and veggies. Custards..are some ideas my co-worker and I came up with. I hope these are useful! Post by madiddyn RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledThank you all for all the great ideas. And yes, i do have to have them all pulled. My dentist has been pulling them in sessions, and all my teeth, top and bottom, on the sides are pulled. Tomorrow he starts with the front teeth. It is going to feel like forever before my dentures come in. Not looking forward to being with out teeth for any length of time. Post by jmz2005 RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
I just made tuna noodle casarole and think this would be a good soft food. Soft macaroni and cheese. Rice and shredded chicken, or spanish rice. Post By chml (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
Good luck with your teeth! I work in a special needs class room and I can tell you that you can puree almost anything in a blender and eat it. It does not look very appetizing, but you can eat oatmeal mixed with pureed fruit, you can puree your meats and vegetables, and you can puree smoothies that are healthy and tasty. So, if you can get over how things look, you can still get good nutrients and get full when you puree what you might normally eat. Post By Tina H (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledMy mother in law had to have her teeth pulled and after a week or two was dying for something besides mashed potatoes, etc. I came up with a recipe that she loved and while it was still soft, it made her think she was getting "real food." The dish tasted like a tamale casserole. I took a can of meat chili without beans and put the contents in my blender. After the chili was blended I put it in a small pot, heated it, and kept it on warm until I was ready for it. I then cooked a bowl of polenta (or sometimes grits). After the polenta (or grits) were cooked, I stirred in grated yellow cheese until the polenta was a bright, rich yellow. I spooned the polenta (grits) into a baking dish, and made a well in the center. I then put the chili in the center, sprinkled the top with cheese and put it in the oven until the cheese was melted. Voila! A tasty tamale pie with no chewing needed. Post by Thissie RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulledi would think any canned fruit. the peaches and pears are very soft Post by sandy63 RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledHow about applesauce, yogurt, custard, rice, noodles, tuna, bananas? Post by maggiemay RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulled
I dont know if you live in a large city but if you shop around you can find a place that removes all the teeth that need removed and put your denture in the same day. Sound wierd? research it.. or talk to friends.. its amazing. You will be eating soft foods the same night. Post by Ariela RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledDo you HAVE to have all your teeth pulled? Can't you have partials? You should try to save any teeth you have as long as you CAN - because there are all sorts of complications from having false teeth - like gum irritations - and so on.... Post by pamphyila RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledTry other things like cream soups (let them cool a bit),instant breakfasts pureed with bananas work too, as does most anything you can puree. My girlfriend went through this a few years back and had fun coming up with things she could still enjoy just by putting them in her blender, sometimes having to add a bit more liquid then usually. Hope this helps. Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth Pulledsoups and ice cream come to mind also. Post By hwalz (Guest Post) RE: Foods I Can Eat After Having My Teeth PulledMy man had implants recently. He ate scrambled eggs a lot and overcooked small shapes pasta.
