RE: Knifty Knitter Instructions

Here is the link for Provo Craft's loom instructions (including the long loom, the round loom, and the rectangle):

http://www.provocraft.com/products/index.products.php?cl=knifty%20knitter

Just click on the one you own and it comes up as an Adobe .pdf file, which you can either print or save to your computer.

I'm trying to help a co-worker make a scarf that I just knitted and I'm not sure how to create the decrease stitch (i.e. know two together) and the psso stitch (slip knit and pass slip stitch over knit stitch) and the knit in front and back of one stitch (in order to increase). Do these stitches exist for the knifty knitter? Juanita W.

I'm having the same problem. The instructions are very vague. Especially how to end the projects. I get how to wrap the yarn around the looms ( had to figure that out on my own) but how the heck do you end it and get it off the loom without it all raveling? Has anyone offered you any help yet? If so please let me know. Thanks

RE: Knifty Knitter Instructions

I have both the circular and oblong sets of knifty knitters and both instructions are very vague. Since so many people are having the same complaint you would think the company would improve on their instruction. I don't know how to end my projects. Does it require another tool not included in the kit? And the pictures are not very clear either. Knifty Knitter please be more helpful for the people that have gone out of their way to purchase your product. msknight0505 AT hotmail.com

Kniffty Knitter

Well I got the knifty knitter down (tried with the original knitting needles but those didn't work too well for me, couldn't get the hang of it) but what I'm wondering is what size do I need to get in order to make a baby blanket? I'm pregnant and don't want the baby to have a blanket with huge holes in it (lol). It is a pretty cool tool though. I learned how to knit within an hour :)
Where can I buy a smaller knifty knitter? The one I got I got from Walmart, is there any place else I can get a knifty knitter from?
Please email me.

Thanks!

I too have just started with my knifty knitter...the loose loop you are referring to you should just leave alone and keep on going. I taught myself to knit before the knifty knitter so I realized that sometimes you just have to keep going to see the result. And you should start pulling the loops over from the first loop you made and keep going in a circle. Did this help?

I cannot understand or see the illustration clearly. Could you please explain what to do once you wrap the yarn around each peg twice. Which side do you begin with, then once you pull the bottom loop off the peg, what do you do with that loose loop?
thanks.
