How To Tell When Pasta Is Done

Is the Spaghetti Done?
To check to see when pasta is cooked. Just use fork and
grab a few strings of spaghetti and TOSS or flick onto
cupboards. If it sicks it is done!...

I have used this method for years and have learned to see when
it is at this stage. Over cooked pasta is not tasty. Good luck.

Hi Annie, If you put a small amount of Italian salad dressing in the water, the house will smell so good when the pasta is cooking.

Got a chuckle about throwing pasta against wall to check for doneness, I remember throwing a teaspoon of flour into the oven to see if hot enough to bake in wood burning cookstove, good old days?

RE: How To Tell When Pasta Is Done

I use to throw mine against the stove backsplash. Loved throwing it until I had to scrub the wall. Now I pull out a string and bite it when it starts looking soft. Works well and less mess to clean up.

Love & Prayers,
Linda
