I have two of the teacup birdfeeders in my yard. They look so good, and everyone comments on them. Yes, they do collect water, but you just have to put a couple of paper towels or a rag of some kind in there and "sop" up all the excess water. It's really not a big problem.

You can also glue the already glued cup and saucer to a piece of copper tubing and stick it in the ground for a bird feeder. I read this somewhere but always wondered what you did about the water that would collect. Maybe you could drill a small hole in the cup down low...

Been doing this for YEARS! I use them as candle holders, for tealights! Work great. I leave that first tin candle bottom in cup, and put next candle right into it, usually letting wax build up around inside of cup.
