Sharpie on a Pillow Case

Can anyone suggest how to remove black sharpie marker from BRAND NEW pillows that my four year old decided to decorate?

If they are white pillowcases then dont hesitate to nuke them with bleach in the washer. It works wonders
But it's gotta be REAL BLEACH not the fake stuff they have nowadays

Cheap hairspray removes any kind of ink-based stain. I'm a Registered Nurse and we (nurses) get ink stains all the time. NOTE: Place a thick absorbant cloth on the inside of the stained item to prevent the ink from bleeding to other areas.

If you have white, would bleach (from like one of those pens) work? Hey, why not let him decorate the pillows anyway? buy those things like you decorate T-shirts with...let him let out his artistic side... it could be a treasured keepsake for years to come.

try tooth paste..I know it removes it from counter tops. tables etc. I don't know about the washing of your pillow...maybe with a damp cloth...please say what type of pillows
