Lotion Stains on Carpet

I have body lotion stains on my new cream carpet. How do I clean it?

I wonder if using an iron and a paper bag like you would with wax would work? It's worth a try!

I'd try a mild solution of dish liquid and water...scrubbing it lightly with a small bristled brush (toothbrush). Then use a damp towel to get up the soap...and a dry towel to absorb the water.
