Buying Craft Books

When you get interested in a new craft, don't buy the books or magazines at the start. Use your public library. Many libraries are part of a regional network and they'll get books from other libraries for you. Check the online directory. Only buy the books when you're sure it's one you need to have on the shelf.

RE: Buying Craft Books

Hi, I have found craft books are not always as good as the suppliers tips on line. Suppliers will give you more information because they would like your continuing business. Once you buy a book, there is no more revenue for them. Scrap booking is an excellent example.

RE: Buying Craft Books

my mom (God rest her soul) used to always get books on approval -- & she never got one that the company selling it didn't send her a pre paid return shipping lable !
You just have to make real sure to get the book back to them before your approval time expires !
I'm not sure if the books she ended up purchasing were because she really liked them - or because she was late in returning them--
