I have had the same problem, but did not want to put bleach in it for fear of residue which the birds might drink. I just got out a scrub brush and some baking soda and used a bit of elbow grease. Worked like a charm and it's safer for the environment. : ) Post By Tina (Guest Post) RE: Getting Rid Of Mold In BirdbathBleach is the best. To rinse it I would put the hose in it, weighed down with a brick, and let it run for five minutes. Post by kimhis RE: Getting Rid Of Mold In BirdbathA little bleach and a scrub brush should do the trick. Once its clean, use bleach about once a month to keep it clean. Make sure to rinse it well before filling it for the birds. Post by lfsm1963 RE: Getting Rid Of Mold In BirdbathI agree with lsfm, bleach is what I would use. Post by Glenn'sMom |
