Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowFeedback About This Post:RE: Removing Spray Paint from plastic rear window on bmwz3I spray painted the rear window on my car with some type of tinted paint. And I want to take it off. Is it anyway I can do that without messing up the window? Thank you Post By Andre (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowI recently picked up my '99 Toyota Camry from the body shop where I discovered a "mist" of paint on the passenger side window. They recommended #0000 steel wool, but even with no coating (or tinting) I fear damage from the steel wool. It's not like paint you can pick off with a fingernail; it's really on there. Is there a chemical (e.g. WD-40) that will remove it without damaging the glass? Post by blueboy859 RE: Removing Spray Paint from car's painted surface
Question: what's the best way to remove spray paint from a car's painted surface? Some loser just spray painted my bonnet. Any ideas? Post By Al (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Window
THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH Post By grandmainmichigan (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Window
Just scraped the side of my van against one of those yellow poles, ugly 3 foot wide yellow from front quarter panel to rear. I just knew I'd never get it off ... Post by kuhlkees RE: Removing Spray Paint from 2 front doors and the bonnet
Hi everyone, I have my car with big circle spots on my 2 front doors and a big circle on the bonnet with a A in the middle and it's been on there for 2 or 3 years. How do I remove it. Post By Matt (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowyah mr. clean really works cuz i had spry pnt on a 1987 dime and it lkd copper and i hear those are rare so i tryed it and the color came right off Post By toad man 42 (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowI just went outside and tried the Magic Eraser and it worked! I have had spray paint on my white chevy van for a year now and I went outside and got all of it off with a Magic Eraser Sponge. I also used a straight razor blade for the thick stuff, but I am AMAZED! Everyone with spray paint woes should definately try this. Post By Celia (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowWhat is a Magic Eraser? Is it a Mr. Clean item that I can buy at the grocery store? Also.....anyone know a good polish/wax and anything that will help with scratches? Thanks. Post By Lacy C. (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowdoes this work on skateboards too???? :( :( :( :( :( Post By breana (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Window
Two words: MAGIC ERASER! Post By Stephen D. (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowWell my car was spray painted with gold spray paint by some young kids. All I did was get nail polish remover with Acetone and rubbed it off in less than 5 minutes. It had been on my car for two days. Post By Tina (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowA bunch of cars in my area including my roommate's Sister's car got spray painted last night. Naturally everyone was upset. I ran out there with a bottle of "Goo Gone" and sprayed it all over the regions that were spray painted. Used some paper towels and it all came right off. Good luck to anyone else in this situation. ****THIS WORKS********* Post By UK AL (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowI got "painted" last night also. My black Civic now has a dorsal stripe. How do you get the paint from the plastic around the doors? Would acetone fade the black color? Thanks for all the suggestions, the WD-40 worked really well on the paint. Post By Christina (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowsomeone spraypainted the body and window of our new white car last night. We used WD40 on both as soon as we saw it and it came right off. Then took it to the carwash. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions on this site! Post By Barron (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowI had the same thing happen, someone spray painted black on my 2006 Tacoma from brake light to headlight. I immediately got it out of the sun, took it to the car wash and washed it. Afterward, I used some hand cleaner (GOOP) and a wool sock and it came off in no time. I think the GOOP is easier on the paint than any other cleaners mentioned. Post By Mark (Guest Post) Removing Spray Paint from Truck BodyI had someone spray paint a line from the taillight of my silverado clear to the front headlights. I used paint thinner which you have to be careful with so that you do not eat through the clear coat on the body of the car. I have found this way to be the easiest. Post By Jason (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowCan someone please advise how to remove spray paint from car body specifically doors? Will using acetone affect the natural color of the car? Post By guest (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowNail polish remover with acetone works perfectly on the window. WD40 works on the body of a car. Both are quick, easy, and effective. Post By Sue (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowwell i know how to take off spray paint from my window but what about the body of my truck, how do i take off the spray paint and not the paint of the car Post By guest (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowok. my car was vandalized too. so i see how to remove the paint from the windows, but what about the body of my car? Post By cheryl (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowhow do you remove spray paint from your car? will remover mess up the regular paint on your car/ Post By monique (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowuse oven cleaner and a razor blade Post By Marlene (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Window

(Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowdid you have spray paint on your truck body and if so what did you use to get it off? Post By lin (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Window
how do u take it off the body of the truck? Post By zach (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowwhat do i have to do to remove spray paint that was graffitied on the side of the truck door? Post By brian (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowActually I own a body shop and this is whay you do and it's cheap. Go to the nearest store and by nail polish remover with acetone! the acetone will take the paint right off of window. If the paint is heavy then use a staight razor then the acetone. Post By Bill (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowThe razor blade works well for the majority of the paint, then use laquer thinner on a rag to remove the rest. Be careful not to get to much on the plastic or rubber parts as the thinner will disolve them as well as remove paint."" Post By Forrest Chambers (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowgo to your hardware store and buy a window scraper and some single edge razor blades, they work beautiful.we had our car painted and they left some paint around the windows so that's the solution we used and it's really easy and works fast. Post By cookieone (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck WindowAfter the straight edge razor, try WD40 for the remaining spots of paint. WD40 took shoe polish off my leather boots. Post by kidseatfree RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Windowwe use a straight edge razor in a holder to scrape off paint from windows in the house. i would think it would be the same in a car. Post By sandy (Guest Post) RE: Removing Spray Paint from Truck Window
Have you tried a straight edge razor blade & scraping it off? Post By guest (Guest Post) |
