Rotten Tomato In Car

I had a tomato spoil while under the seat of my car (not sure how it got there). After I removed the tomato, there was some juice that had soaked into the carpet. I tried carpet cleaner but couldn't get to the spot. I then tried pouring white vinegar on the area. The vinegar neutralized the smell for the most part, but not completely. And now I have a vinegar smell in the car--not good but better than the rotten tomato. My question - how do I get rid of the vinegar smell and any lingering rotten tomato smell? Thanks in advance for your help.

Jo

These would work really well in place of bows on small gifts, or to decorate a wreath. Great idea.

How did you do that? Do you have instructions you can scan?

Baking soda absolutely. Let stay overnight. But you must vacuum it or the smell will remain.

Try some cotton balls soaked in vanilla - it worked for me, went camping one time and came back with a ton of crabs , stored them in fridge in camper, talk about smell, YUCK -- couple of days of vanilla soaked cotton balls, all gone. will work for smelly tennies too !

RE: Rotten Tomato In Car

My daughter spilled Starbucks coffee in her car . It really smelled bad. She took it to a car carpet cleaner shop and he took the seat out and cleaned the rug. He told her let it dry and it will still smell alittle until it drys and airs out. He also told her to take a 1 pound ground coffee and take the lid off when car is parked like over night.Or put holes in the plastic lad. It worked for her hope it works for you. Peggie
