Using Old Pantyhose for Draft Stoppers

Use old pantyhose for draft stoppers. Fill them with sand or sunflower seeds and put them in front of doors to stop the air leaks at the bottom.

RE: Using Old Pantyhose for Draft Stoppers

Hi Brenda,

I've been using old terry towels to make "draft stoppers" for years...and I fill them with the cheapest rice I can find. The rice will last almost
indefinitely as long as it doesn't get wet...and they
work very well at keeping in the heat if and when
we need it. More often, we're using them to keep
our air-conditioning from leaking out.

I also make "hot and cold" compresses with the old
terry towels...and rice. You can make them any size
you like as well as any shape. To make them cold,
place them in a plastic bag and pop them into the
freezer. To make them warm, use the microwave.

Where there's a will, there's always a way... : )

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
