Creative Piggy Banks Ideas

OK everybody, collect all those piggy banks and pack them away in a box and put them in the attic. My house has only been broken into twice in my lifetime. The first things that go are the piggy banks. FIND A REPLACEMENT NOW. When you cornstarch runs out, use the container for your coins and ones. How about an oatmeal box? Larger bills can be hid in back of picture frames. That will get your imagination going. I don't want to give out all the secrets. I have some real doozies. I even used my drip pan on my refrigerator once.

I am always picking up change,finally decided to find a place for it, in pantry had an empty spice container that works well, have about $3.00 in it. up stairs have a empty Avon container to put found change in. will try to find a container to use in cellar for washing machine change.Have only been doing this about 2 weeks. did not remove any labels so could hide money,or anything small and no one would ever know

most banks have christmas funds where all money put in cant be touched until november-theres one way to save money.

This is all well and good, but be sure to let immediate family members in on your secret, in case something happens, you're not the only one in on the secret. I know for a fact that when my great grandparents passed on, my parents started going thru my great grandparents possessions, pretty fast on tossing out "junk", but later had to empty the wastecan and go thru all the already thrown out stuff after finding that my great grandparents had money hidden in EVERYTHING!! It would have really been something had the great grandparents home had gone up in flames before going thru their possessions!

Use a bank or at least a safety deposit box in the
bank. I would be the idiot who would forget where I hid the $ and forget about a note as to where....

Plus at the bank the money can grow....

If you get creative with hiding money, write down where it's hidden. You'll soon forget where it can be found and won't do you much good when you need it if you can't find it. Many a book or "can of soup" has been donated with money or jewelry hidden inside.

Don't put them in the attic if you aren't going to use them. Donate them to a Thrift store, or put them in your yard sale. I have a wonderful collection of piggy banks and love to display them. But when one gets enough coins in it that can be rolled, I do so and put the money in a special bank account. Keeping too much money around the house is a bad idea- take it from someone who had a house fire.
