Mom's 'Somewhat Stuffed Squash' Stove Top Casserole
Ingredients
- 4-5 medium to large squash
- 1 lb. sausage browned
- 1/2 package cream cheese
- 8-16 oz. Sour Cream
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Directions
Boil squash. While squash is boiling brown 1 lb. sausage. Drain grease off of sausage and place it back in the skillet. Add cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese to sausage and put it on low setting. Once squash is cooked, drain the liquid and put squash in skillet with sausage mixture and stir. Let it simmer until cream cheese is melted and all ingredients are incorporated. Makes 6-8 servings. This goes great with just about anything!By Leigh from Childersburg, AL
