Buying Belt Elastic

Does anyone know where I can find 3" belt elastic? I like to make my own belts, to match each outfit.

Thanks you for any help.

RE: Buying Belt Elastic

I too wanted to make myself a large belt with black elastic, as a belt, or to sew to a balloon skirt; I NEVER found a 3" wide elastic; so I have just sewn together (staggered) three 1"1/2 wide black elastic. Just machine stich one width to another, than cut the stitched elastics to the wanted lenght and voilà! you have your own very large elastic. And if I may say so myself, those large elastic belts are very very flattering.

You should be able to find it in the Notions department in Joanne's.

Call JoAnn Fabrics and ask if they sell the 3" wide belt elastic.
