Removing Tea Stain From Ceramic Pot

I have been brewing hot tea in a large ceramic coated pot, and cannot get the stain out. Does anyone have a method to clean this large pot without leaving a nasty taste in pot? I also use this pot for cooking.

I use baking soda, just put a couple of teaspoons in the pot, top with hot water and leave overnight - it works great on thermos flasks too!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I tried a few, but the one that truly helped me was the bleach. I am so thankful to all who replied! It's good to know there are people out there who are willing to help out another! God Bless you all!

My husband has a disgusting tea pot he uses everyday - when I can find it empty - I use good ol' bleach to clean it. I try to let it soak overnight and then give it a good scrubbing. Works pretty good.

I've used dishwasher detergent with great success. Just put some in it, add hot water and swish, dissolving the detergent. Let sit for awhile until stain is gone. I do this with coffee stains in cups also. Granulated works best, I've found.

I used magic eraser on my glass coffee pot the other day. Not sure if that's such a good idea though.

Vinegar removed tea stains from an enamel tea pot, so maybe it will also work on ceramic?

try using several denture tablets let stand over night, repeat if necessary, rinse and wash well and rinse again good luck ceealice

I have metal cup with cover to keep tea hot and no matter what I used the stains would`nt budge until I thought of putting 2 denture tablets in and let stand over night, repeat if necessary, you may need several tablets for large pot, good luck..ceealice
