Non Toxic Rust Remover For a Resin Plastic Toilet

If anyone can help with a non toxic rust remover for my toilet. It is not porcelain. It is like a resin type plastic. The rust is hardened on and I do not like to use anything that is caustic or harmful.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Try rubbing a cut lemon onto the rust that has had a few drops of dish washing liquid dripped on it. Alex.

Removing Rust from Shower Base

How do you get rust out of the bottom of a plastic or fiberglass shower base?

Try a product called 'naval jelly'. My house builder used it to remove rust from a bathtub that the framers left a bunch of nails in (of course there was no roof at the time, and it rained, and they were in there for about a month). I thought the rust had actually eaten into the enamel, but the naval jelly did the trick. I assume it's available at a boating supply type place.

I have read many times that coca cola will take the rust off of most things. It's worth a try :)
