Can I Remove Pine Sap From Suede?

My father has a nice suede jacket that he recently got some pine sap on while cutting down our Christmas tree. Is there any way to remove it? Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Sure - put them in the freezer first, and the sap will become brittle and will be easy to chip off.

we lived in the country and cut our own wood for the winter so we would get pine sap on our clothes once in a while,my mom would use Kerosene to remove it but like the other posts said,Mineral spirits like paint thinner should also do the job,let the jacket air out real good before wearing,I would pour a little on a white cotton cloth and dab the pine sap, rubbing lightly until it all came out.

Mineral Spirits will remove all types of tree sap from any material without damage
