Junior Green Thumb

Junior Green Thumb
Just wanted to share a picture of my little 8 year old nephew's thriving plants! He's growing strawberries, watermelon, honeydew melon, and a couple others I don't remember. A good beginner green thumb!

To avoid discouragement and disappointment, you'd better get a LARGE garden spot outside for those melons, and fast, according to how they've grown.

I am shocked that I have old seeds, spit out last summer by my grandson on the large MULCHED area, which are huge plants now and have melons all over them. Guess they love semi-shade, lots of bark mulch and water, and protection, but take no care so far? Good luck to you and God
bless you. : )

May I ask where your nephew learned how to do all this? Do you know how his interest in gardening got started? I think he's just amazing!
