Indian Blue Jeans Quilt

Indian Blue Jeans Quilt
Blue Jeans Quilts don't have to look like they are made from old blue jeans. I made this one using a purchased panel from Walmart and different colored old jeans plus some beads and a fleece backing to make this Indian style quilt for my sister. The blocks are laid out to represent the 4 directions and the beads (hard to see in the photo) also represent the 4 directions.

HOW BEAUTIFUL

RE: Indian Blue Jeans Quilt

I have made many more blue jean quilts besides this one which you can find by doing a search on Webshots for blue jean quilts. This one is sort of a landscape blue jeans quilt with all of the background being out of used jeans. I used bleach to make the clouds and a little paint and a lot of free-motion quilting to get the details. The Eagle itself is not made from denim though.

Stunning!!! I have a huge bagful of old jeans in my cupboard. Must get down to making something out of them.

Absolutely beautiful! I wish I could have grasped the craft of quilting, but try as I did, I never could, that and sewing just did not click with me. :( I would give my eye teeth for a quilt as beautiful as that one. You should be very proud. I bet you make lots of money for them too. :)

I am making my second jean throw that I am making out of jeans. I sew the right sides together so when I wash it it will fringe. I love them that they are so warm and comfortable.
