Get glass bowls and put potpourri in them and then scatter fall leaves on the table around the bowl. I'm doing this for my daughter's bridal shower, only I am putting the potpourri in a 10" margarita glass. It looks awesome.

Take a large platter or bowl and line it with maple leaves and buy some gourds and place on the leaves. Gourds come in all different colors.

Put single mums in shot glasses, votive candle holders, or baby food jars. Put a cluster of these on top of some pretty fall leaves.
Put a hurricane candle shield in a candle ring of fake fall leaves. Fill the shield with pine cones or small gourds.
Get some apples with stems. Polish the apples then tie gingham bows on the stems. Place in a basket and fill in with miniature pine cones(you can get those in craft stores).
Put a small jar of water in a larger clear flower vase. Put some fall flowers in the water. Fill in the space between jars with miniature pine cones, acorns, candy corn, or candy pumpkins.
Make an edible centerpiece: put a minature pie on a large leave -- one for each guest. Cluster them in the center of the table with tapers in fall colors. Serve the pies for dessert(blow out the candles before reaching for the pies).
Get some cat tails or sheaves of wheat(I've seen these in crafts stores) tie them with pretty ribbons and simply lay them in the middle of your table.

If you have access to acorns, fill glass vases or other small glasses with acorns and stand up some flower stems like mums or black eyed susans in the top.
Take some autumn leaves and wet them so they stick to the inside of a vase/glass jar. Fill the jar with glass pebbles, and then with water so it holds the leaves against the glass. Top with a floating votive.
