Use Soda In Your Flower Arrangements

To make fresh cut flowers last longer, use 1/2 water and 1/2 soda, such as Sprite or any clear color soda. Your flowers will last for weeks and weeks and they will remain beautiful.

Yes! ... but the trick is to use Sprite or 7-up WITH sugar, & NOT sugar free pop!

(At least that's what they said in floral design school) Something about the flowers needing the sugar.... They also said that if you didn't have any 7-up or sprite, to just use a teaspoon of sugar in the water... It's the critic acid that's the key ingredient in the lemon-lime soda-pop.

* Also, change the pop or water often, because the bacteria that grows in the water damages the flowers!

Great idea, I suppose the flowers love all that sugar. It would probably work for Christmas trees also.
