needing to evacuate it reminds us that each family needs an evacuation plan. We are starting a brainstorm on evacuation plans. What is important to take with you, what planning should you do in advance?

RE: Evacuation Plans

The most important thing in a quick evacuation is to have a meeting place in the yard for all family members to meet. As far as the marterial needed, Water is the most important. Evacuate a little before you think you need to. Easy to pack food is abundant in the stores these days. Have a first aid kit full of all that's needed. The fire department has a brochure on how to build a good first aid kit.

Marla Cilley has a very good eleven point checklist on her website: www.flylady.net.
