RE: Making Real Peanut Butter Fudge

This is real easy and remember it from childhood.

3 cups of sugar
1 and a half cups of milk

Bring to boil until "soft ball" stage. Watch it as it will boil over.

After it reaches the "soft ball" stage, take it off the heat and add:

1 cup of peanut butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Stir until it just begins to cool off and pore into buttered pan and cool.

If you want peanut butter/chocolate fudge, Just add 3/4th cup of coco powder to your sugar and milk. Either way it's yummy.

I use my favorite recipe for Chocolate Fudge, only substitute Peanut Butter chips instead of Semi-sweet chips. I also use chopped roasted hulled peanuts instead of walnuts or pecans. You can also add a cup of peanut butter to this recipe and it turns out great.

Show: Good Eats (Food Network)
Episode: Fudge Factor

1 cup butter, plus more for greasing pan
1 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pound powdered sugar

Microwave butter and peanut butter for 2 minutes on high. Stir and microwave on high for 2 more minutes. Add vanilla and powdered sugar to peanut butter mixture and stir to combine with a wooden spoon. Pour into a buttered 8 by 8-inch pan lined with waxed paper. Place a second piece of waxed paper on the surface of the fudge and refrigerate until cool. Cut into 1-inch pieces and store in an airtight container for up to a week.
