Prescription Bottle Valentine Gift

Here's an idea for a cute inexpensive Valentine treat for family and friends. I wash out empty prescription bottles and remove the labels. Then I fill them with Hershey's Hugs and chocolate Kisses. I make a label from paper that reads "Rx for a Happy Valentine's Day, lots of hugs and kisses!" and tape it onto the bottle. A unique little gift and a way to recycle those prescription bottles!

I like to use the amber expill bottles as a sewing kit and also needle storage. Works for necklaces, beads, small craft items, paperclips, rings, you name it. If you have to buy a small battery, use to store it so you get the correct size.

While the recycling idea is great, putting candy in a prescription bottle is not the best idea. My husband and I are both pharmacists and we teach "Mr. Yuk" to kids. It's not good to equate medicine and candy. Even if you are doing this for older kids, there may be little ones around who see them eat candy out of the bottle. Sorry for the negative feedback! :(

Prescription Bottle Valentine gift can be used for spare change as well. They come in handy when standing in line at the grocery store and you're sorting through your purse for change. Just dump the change from the bottle into your hand and walla, it's right there and quite easy. I have used prescription bottle change holders for years! I make them and give them to friends just for the fun of it. Also, they're good for anyone that uses quarters at the laundry mat.

Nice share,thanks.I to recycle what ever I can.I bought an Xacto knife and it had 5 loose blades.I took a tall Rx bottle.In the bottom I placed(another recycle thing)1 of those silica packets in the bottom then 3 cotton balls,then the separate blades,then the tall shank w/blade,upside down.I invested in a label maker which comes in very handy.

Yes, these are the brown prescription pill bottles that I use. That way they are the perfect "prescription" for Valentine's!

Not feed back but a question. Are you talking about the brown plastic pill bottle with the childproof caps like you get at Wal-mart or another type?
I have a lot of the brown plastic bottles that I use to store screws, nuts, etc, in but have a lot of others I need to put to some type of use.
