What Are Your Favorite Links?

I thought it would be fun to request web addresses of great sites for us "Frugalers". If you have some favorite sites please share their web address with us. Sometimes I find myself going to the same sites over and over; new ones would be nice.

Here are some of my favorites:

www.savingadvice.com/freebies.php
www.allrecipes.com
www.angelwinks.net
www.organized-mom.com
www.recipelink.com
www.frugalhomemaker.com
www.half.ebay.com
www.recipegoldmine.com (this site has skin care recipes too)
www.homemadesimple.com
www.christianbook.com

RE: What Are Your Favorite Links?

Recently, I was introduced to a media swapping site called Swaptree.com. It allows users to trade the media they have for the media they want. Just list the items that you have to trade and the ones that you'd like to receive. Swaptree has a formula that works out two- and even three-way trades. So you don't have to do the matching. They'll tell you what swaps are available.

It's particularly handy for those of us who are always looking for something new. If Junior is bored with that expensive
video game, you can trade it. No need to put it on the closet shelf to collect dust.

The service is completely free, and users only pay for the shipping of their item. That's something that we like!
Swaptree also simplifies the mailing process by allowing users to print a postage label on their regular printer. So no need to weigh items or find the right stamps.

So do like I did and give it a try. You might seriously reduce your entertainment budget. Check it out at www.swaptree.com

RE: What Are Your Favorite Links?

After reading this post a couple weeks ago I went to www.Paperbackswap.com
IT IS WONDERFUL! I have saved over $32 on books and since my husband and I are avid readers I can get a new book whenever I want!!! They have over 600,000 books listed and if they dont have the book on the list you can be on a wait list for it and the system automatically tells you when you get it. Right now its free to sign up but that may change so get on board now. I have also relieved my shelf of books I have read and no longer have a use for, its great!!

Happy reading!!

RE: What Are Your Favorite Links?

Just last month, I found a wonderful site for anyone who loves to read and is frugal. This site is wondeful. You swap paperback books or hardback ones and only pay for the postage---the books are free. You can even have them sent to someone else as a gift. When you join, you get to pick three books free right away. I have managed to find several titles that I have been looking for years. At last count there was over 330,000 books to choose from. I am having so much fun with it. I just had to list 9 books to join choose a user name ( I picked "bookaholic" because I am definitely one.) I know any book lover will enjoy this. By the way, you can get books for the whole family there---kids too! The site is paperbackswap.com

At this wonderful site you post your books for trade. You get one credit for a book you send to someone else. Then, you get to choose a book from the groups list for free!

Lehmanslife@lists.lehmans.com is one of my favorites. People write in with questions of all kinds about everything under the sun, and others with experience or pertinent knowledge respond attempting to ameliorate problems and give advice. Some are really helpful to me. Also for coupon users try http://www.thecouponclippers.com.
